OUT WITH ARLO — SESEH, BY NADYA.
The places, rituals and familiar favourites that make a place feel like home.
For the next chapter of OUT WITH ARLO, we spend the day with our friend Nadya, exploring the places she loves around Seseh and Canggu.
Living in Bali with her husband and children, Nadya shares a glimpse into her everyday life, from morning coffees and family breakfasts to favourite local warungs, unique furniture finds and afternoons spent unwinding.
For Nadya, it's the little things that make a neighbourhood feel like home. Familiar faces, good food, the beach just around the corner and having everything close enough to enjoy with family.
Here are a few of the places she keeps coming back to.
A familiar start to the day. Sesai Pizza is one of Nadya's favourite places to bring the family, whether it's for a morning coffee and breakfast before the school run or a relaxed lunch over pizza and pasta.
It's one of those places that naturally becomes part of your everyday routine.
When it comes to nasi campur, Warung Makan Cantik Sesai is Nadya's go-to. A favourite for a local lunch, with one important tip: arrive early. The food tends to sell out quickly, so timing is everything.
Some food favourites come with a little more meaning. For Nadya, Warung Cantik brings back memories of pregnancy, when ikan bakar was a constant craving. Now, it's a favourite shared with her children, too.
A little family tradition that has stayed.
For something a little different, Nadya takes us to Serpentine, her favourite furniture destination in Canggu. Known for its distinctive prints, interesting artworks and unique collection, it's a place worth exploring for anyone who appreciates thoughtful interiors.
A little time to slow down. Air Sesai is Nadya's place for recovery and relaxation, whether she's visiting with friends or her husband. Somewhere to switch off, take a breath and enjoy a moment away from the everyday.
For Nadya, one of the best things about living in this part of Bali is how naturally family life fits into the surroundings. The beach is just around the corner, friends are never too far away, and there's always somewhere to go with the kids.
It's the familiarity, the community and the little everyday moments that make it special.
One neighbourhood. A few familiar favourites.
Seen through the eyes of someone who calls it home.
